Just Call Me Grace........................

So I was asked today at work if I could bowl. Well I bowled about 20 years ago and have my own ball, guess I could give it a try. There are a couple of the accountants that are part of Jr. Achivement and this is some sort of a fund raiser. So off I go to the bowling alley. Wait, first I went to the Chiropractor cause I've had a headache off and on for a week or so. I'm feeling better with no more headache and am ready for some fun. Are you ready for this?????????? They say "throw a few practice balls". I get my ball out and am telling myself this will be fine. You were a fairly good bowler, so what if it was 20 years and many pounds ago. I'm not quite sure what happen after that, except I was on all fours in the middle of the lane!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had just told one of the guys if I land of my ass you better not laugh at me. He asked if he could laugh with me, yea, no problem. Let's just leave it at this. We all had a good laugh, but it'll require another trip to the chriopractor in the morning. It's hell to get old...........

I think I better stick to knitting and crocheting......... :-)

This is what greeted me this morning. Not much snow, but icy roads and alot of wind!!!

IT'S SNOWING!!!

I'm telling the truth this time!!! The western 1/2 or our state is pretty much at a standstill I'm told. They have closed the interstate from Mitchell to the Wyoming border. Hopefully we won't see that kind of snow but it's really blowing.

What this does, is bring back memories of the ice storm of 2005. We were without power for 8 days. Now that's not alot of fun considering we live on a dairy farm. Being the weenie that I am I went to town the first chance I got and stayed with a friend and went to work!!! I did send home groceries and whiskey, so I got extra points for that!!! We have quite a few milkers in the neighborhood so they would start at one farm help that person milk, move the generator to the next farm and help that person and so on, and so on. The men were totally exhausted but that's what neighbors do for each other in the Dakota's.

So tomorrow morning if it's white here, I'll post a few pictures...... From the inside out of course!
